A branch of mathematics concerned with the properties of space, including points, lines, curves, planes and surfaces in space, and figures bounded by them. Multiple kinds of geometry exist, dealing with everyday concepts such as lengths, angles, and familiar shapes (Fig. 1), to geometries involving calculus and curvature of space.
