In a broad sense, teleconferencing encompasses the various ways and means by which people communicate with one another over some distance. In a narrow sense, a teleconference is a two-way, interactive meeting among individuals or relatively small groups of people. The facilities that are utilized can range from smartphones to basic telephones to sophisticated studios or conference rooms. At a minimum, a teleconference involves audio communication between the locations, but it may also involve video and graphics.
